Ciara walked through the dark city, not really knowing where she was going. She didn’t have a place she could go, where she felt safe. All of that had been taken away from her about a week ago. Her parents had died when she was just 4 years old. She’d been going from foster home to foster home from then on. She’d been with her last one for 2 years. She would still be there if she hadn’t been so stupid to shapeshift in front of them. They’d kicked her out without a second thought.
She walked into a dark alley, sitting down beside a dumpster. She pulled her jacket closer to her starting to feel cold. She wanted her mom and dad, she wanted them to come get her. A tear slipped down her face and she bit her lip. She missed them everyday, but today just seemed worse. She wanted someone who loved her, cared for her. She started sobbing and pulled her knees up to her chest.
---------
Ravyn walked home, holding Evy’s hand. She had been feeling a lot better lately. The pain wasn’t nearly as bad and Evy had been there every step on the way. She smiled and looked up at her. They’d just went and watched a movie, not that Ravyn had seen much of the movie but whatever. She was about to say something when she heard sobbing nearby. She frowned “Do you hear that ?” She muttered to Evy. She slowly followed the sound and saw a girl, who couldn’t have been older than 15, sitting down next to the dumpster crying.

Hand in hand with Ravyn, Evangeline walked along side of her on the way home from the movie theater. She was glad to see that Ravyn was just about healed all the way up from the event that happened not to long ago with her father. The bastard was still rooting away in his jail cell, and that was just one of the many pleasant thoughts Evangeline thought about each and every day. However, her mother had been starting to pose as a problem. She'd been wanting Evy to come home, saying that she needed someone since her father was gone. It was something she'd taken into thought, but had yet to mention it to Ravyn.
Evy's eyes watched Ravyn, and noticed when she stopped from saying something. Sobbing could be here, just faintly for Evy, but she was sure Ravyn's k-9 hearing was off the charts. "What is it?" she asked at the same time Ravyn had asked her if she'd heard it. "Faintly." Evangeline followed after Ravyn only to find a girl, no younger than eleven sitting along side of a dumpster, crying her little heart out. "Oh jeez.." Evy muttered to herself. "Little girl? Why do you cry?"

Ravyn made her way over to the girl without really thinking what she was doing. She hated to see the girl in pain like this, it broke her heart to see her sobbing like this.
--------
Ciara looked up surprised when she heard someone, she hadn’t expected anyone to hear her. “I’m sorry.” She muttered for no real reason. She whipped away her tears and bit down on her lip hard trying to stop more tears from coming. “It’s not important.” She muttered when Evy asked her why she was crying. “I’m not important.” She muttered to herself very quietly, looking away.
---------
Ravyn frowned, hearing her say she wasn’t important. “Of course you are important honey.” She said, bending down next to her. She looked back at Evy for a second before turning her attention back on the girl. “It’s really late, I’m sure your parents are out looking for you.” She looked confused as the girl started sobbing when she mentioned her parents. “sshh, it’s okay.” She said placing a hand on the girls shoulder. The girl shrugged it and looked down at the floor. Ravyn sighed and took a step back not wanting to scare the girl. She bumped against some trash cans whish started falling over.
--------------
Ciara let out a yelp as she heard the loud noise and as a reflex changed into her other form. Within seconds a snow leopard cub was sitting in her place, crouched down as if ready to attack.
-----------
Ravyn’s eyes widened a bit as she watched the girl change. She was a shifter too, she held her breath for a few seconds. The girl actually looked really cute, especially with her crouching down like that. She looked at Evy wondering what she thought.

Evy weakly frowned, and mentally shook her head. She of all people knew what it was like to feel unloved, unwanted. Watching everything play out in front of her, she was just barely taken aback when she saw the girl shift into a leopard cub. Smiling smally, she magically made a handkerchief appear in her hands. Cautiously she made her way over to the girl, "Here. Dry your tears, little one." she said, giving Ciara a reassuring and warm smile.

Ciara watched as Evy made the handkerchief appear, she starred at it having no idea this was possible. Nobody had ever told or explained anything to her, she always thought she was a freak, the only one who could do this. She concentrated on changing back and quickly she was in her human form again. “How did you do that ?” She asked, not sure if she should be trusting them.

"I'm a fairy." Evy explained, and smiled yet again. "And you, my dear, are a shapeshifer. One of the few magical creatures alive." Evy hesitantly put a hand on the girl's shoulder. "You're fine now, you can trust us. My name is Evangeline. What is yours?"
((short, I know.. sorry ))

Ciara looked unsure not really believing Evy, “A fairy..” She said. She looked at Ravyn for a second wondering what she was. “Magical creatures… How many are there ?” She asked curious. All of this was new to her. She froze when Evy put a hand on her shoulder but didn’t shrug it of this time. “I’m Ciara.” She said, she wasn’t sure if she should have told them her real name, but figured it didn’t really matter. “Who’s she ?” She asked, looking at Ravyn. Ravyn smiled and walked closer again, standing next to Evy. “I’m Ravyn.” She said.

Evy nodded her head, though she knew darn well that is Ciara hadn't shifted then Evy wouldn't have so open. However, this girl acted and there was just a vibe that Evy got from her that said she didn't know anything about herself or the magical world around her. "Well, there are shifters and fairies. Also there are elementals, vampires, werewolves, veelas, merpeople and witches, wizards." she listed all the races. Elves existed, but none were found in Germany. Most of all of there magical creatures weren't in any common location. They were simply just hard to find around the globe.
"Then there are humans, or mortals. Most know nothing about us, but some do." she spoke softly, and sweetly to the young girl. Evy smiled, and lifted the girl up from the ground. "Ravyn is my.. friend." she said, not wanting to freak Ciara out if she knew nothing of the sexual topic. After all, right now, the fact that Evy and Ravyn were dating was a personal matter between the couple, not the entire world and them. "Now why did you say you weren't important?" she wondered.

Ciara listened curious, there were so many. “Are there many shifters ?” She asked, “Like me ?” She added. She wondered if her parents would have been shifters, like her. She nodded and let Evy lift her from the ground. “Because I’m not.” She said frowning, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to talk about this. “Mark and Lidia threw me out.” She said looking down at the ground. She never called them her parents.

"All different kinds." she said, looking over to Ravyn. "Of course, Ravyn here could teach you more about shifters seeing as she is one herself." Evy smiled warmly, and then returned her attention back to Ciara. She frowned, and shook her head, "Who says your not? Other than yourself." Damn people! Throwing kids out of their home.. Evy thought, but quickly tossed all thoughts back into her mind. "Who are Mark and Lidia?" Evy asked curiously.

“Really ?” Ciara said, happy she’d finally found someone like herself. “How long have you been one ? Can you control it ? How do you control it ?” She asked, a million questions filling her mind. She had been having these her entire life, and now she couldn’t finally find out about them. Ravyn smiled. “Ever since I was born, every shifters like that anyway, and it just takes time, time and lots of practice.” Ciara nodded listening closely to her.
She turned her attention back in Evy when she started talking again. She bit her lip and sighed. “They are my adoptive parents.” She muttered. “What are you going to do with me..” She suddenly asked, looking from Evy to Ravyn. Where they just going to leave her here, or would they bring her to the police or something. She didn’t want to go there, knowing there would be questions and other stuff.

"Oh.." Evy said with a simple nod of her head. So this girl was adopted, and they'd thrown her out. Were they even allowed to do that? Wasn't it the government's decision whether or not the child stayed with that family or not? The girl's question struck Evy at heart, and she frowned, ready to cry. She felt very bad for Ciara, and honestly, she already was beginning to love the little girl. Like a little sister that Evy had never and would never have. "You'll come home with us." she stated, and then looked to Ravyn for approval.

Ciara wrapped her arms over her chest nervous when Evy didn’t really reply to her when she told her she was adopted. She wondered what the 2 women in front of her were thinking. She was mostly scared of what they would do with her. She didn’t want to go back to Mark and Lidia, they would treat her like a freak. She frowned thinking of it, wasn’t that what she was really ? She looked up at Evy as she said she would be coming home with them. She still didn’t fully trust them. What if she hadn’t seen it right, what if the girl had just taken the handkerchief out of her sleeve. What if they were taking her to a lab or something, just to do tests and stuff on her. She shuddered and fear was visible in her eyes, she took a step or 2 back. She wasn’t really sure about this anymore.
Ravyn smiled and nodded to Evy agreeing with her, they couldn’t leave the girl here all alone. Ravyn and Evy would have to talk about this though, what they would do with her. She gazed back at the girl and noticed she suddenly looked scared, she frowned and held her head to the side. Why was she scared…

Evy was appauled when the girl took a few steps back, but it didn't register to her that Ciara had sudden become scared. She looked at Ravyn, and frowned. She didn't know what to say or what to do. She just wanted to keep Ciara safe, like she would have any child. Evy looked back over to the little girl, and sighed. "I promise that you are safe." she said, trying to reassure her.

Ciara looked closely at them and took a deep breath. “Can you show me ?” She asked, looking at Ravyn. “Can you show me your other form..” she said. Ravyn looked unsure but gave in anyway. “Sure..” She said nodding. She looked at Evy before letting the now more than familiar transformation take place. Ciara watched amazed, they hadn’t been lying to her. She stepped forward and placed a hand on Ravyn’s head, as if wanting to see she wasn’t dreaming it, that there really was a dog standing there.
